RUSH FAQ:
💫 What is rush?
Rush is a series of events that occurs over two weeks, giving you the opportunity to learn more about Kappa Phi Lambda. Join us for activities that will allow you to meet new people, have fun, and get to know our sorority and its members!
💫 What is a bid?
A bid is an invitation to join our organization!
💫 How can I qualify for a bid?
You must attend 1 General Interest Meeting and 2 Pillar-related events. Once you have fulfilled the requirements, UNC Kappas will offer you an interview to learn more about you and then offer our bid decision!
💫 Will rush events be held in person?
We plan to hold an in-person rush, with the exception of one general interest meeting! One of our general interest meetings will be held through Zoom and the other will be in person, but all pillar-related events are in-person unless stated otherwise.
We remain cognizant of COVID-19, and we are proud to say that all members of our current Active House are vaccinated. We are committed to fostering a safe environment for all attendees by providing hand sanitizer and accommodating room capacities.

ABOUT US
Kappa Phi Lambda Sorority, Inc. is an Asian-interest, but NOT Asian-exclusive, sorority founded in 1995 at Binghamton University, NY. As a sorority, we uphold 3 pillars: Sisterhood, Service, and Cultural Diversity. We strive for academic excellence and to be leaders creating a positive impact on campus and in the community.
The Alpha Eta Chapter of Kappa Phi Lambda was chartered on November 23, 2013, by 10 captivating, inspiring, and passionate women who wanted to provide interested women with more opportunities to find their right fit at UNC, as well as the chance to have a home away from home.
Kappa Phi Lambda Sorority, Inc. currently consists of 33 chapters and associate chapters located on campuses all across the nation. With over 4,000 sisters, we are one of the fastest-growing and most passionate Asian-American interest sororities in the United States! Our eternal sisterhood makes us one family, whenever and wherever that may be.

GENDER INCLUSIVITY STATEMENT
As the Alpha Eta Chapter continues to grow, we realize the importance of checking in with our pillars and platform to ensure they effectively reflect our mission of inclusivity and awareness. While the usage of "sxster" is not an all-perfect term, we hope to embody our pillar of Sisterhood while also being inclusive of gender non-conforming and LGBTQ+ individuals.
